I have been in the health care field since 2002, doing what I believe in and what I enjoy.

In 2002 I started Allyson Yeates Massage Centre providing last minute massage treatments. I worked from home as well as mobile  - traveling to clients homes as well as hotels and offices.

After shoulder surgery, and concerned about whether or not I could continue massage, I looked into cold laser therapy and decided to be my own guinea pig. I bought the laser, took the training and started treating my own shoulder. I was told by doctors that my career in massage was over. Because of the laser therapy I no longer required pain medication and could get back to work providing massage. It wasn't full time anymore but I can still do it. However, now I could also provide cold laser therapy for clients' injuries as well.

I have a certificate for Low Level Intensity Therapeutic Laser from Mount Royal College as well as Therapeutic Laser from the Alberta College & Association of Chiropractors. ( I am not a chiropractor).

I continually take courses and expand my knowledge.

LASER THERAPY

Cold Laser uses the beneficial components of light energy to stimulate and rejuvenate the tissue internally. There is an accumulative effect and benefits become evident gradually.

In simple terms, laser light enters your cells and converts light energy into chemical energy that the body can now use to renew, regenerate, and heal itself from the inside out. Unlike most laser/skin treatments, it is painless, and causes no red, raw, or inflamed side effects. Most clients fall asleep during treatment, and want to stay for a nap.

Low-level lasers have been used as a therapeutic modality in the international medical field for over 30 years. In the 30+ years of low-level laser usage, no side effects are known or have ever been reported. I have been using Laser Therapy for the past two years to treat many injuries with amazing results, and have now decided to jump into the Hair Restoration, Beauty and Skin treatment side of this therapy.

Laser Light Therapy is not recommended however for treatment over a pregnant uterus, cancer patients until in remission, if you have had steroid/cortisone injections in the previous 2 weeks before treatment, or are taking light sensitive medications.

Treatments are generally completed once to twice weekly for a total of six sessions and generally take 30 to 60 minutes, using SLD and Laser clusters.

Cold Laser is painless, and very relaxing and as with every treatment people respond differently. Some will see results immediately and some results may be more gradual.

MAINTENANCE

Maintenance treatments are important in order to prolong the visible results achieved with the initial laser protocols and are recommended once a month.
